Two controls do different jobs

This guide covers the HW1300 in the ENEU manual 885542B229. Its main switch has low, off and high positions. Separately, the Vario-Power lance adjusts the jet. Begin by identifying both controls on the actual machine; do not treat a change of nozzle as equivalent to selecting the low motor mode.

Working pressure is 80 bar in low mode and 110 bar in high mode, while 130 bar is maximum permissible pressure. The water-flow figure is 6.0 L/min and maximum feed volume 7.5 L/min. The tap connection instructions require inlet supply greater than 7.5 L/min. Output flow alone is not the supply test.

Make the reel useful without working from a coil

The verified configuration has a 10 m pressure hose and a reel. Release the hose end from its catch and unwind the full hose before operation. The reel is a storage aid, not permission to operate with the unused portion tightly wound. Lay a broad route that avoids wheels, doors and sharp edges.

For a car beside a wall, route the hose along the open side before switching on. If reaching the rear pulls on the gun, stop and reposition rather than tugging harder. A reel cannot prevent the machine tipping when the route becomes tight. Check that you can reach the switch without walking through runoff.

Water-fed setup and first control check

  1. With power disconnected and switch off, connect the fully unreeled hose to the gun. Lock the trigger while securing the selected attachment.
  2. Connect clean water through the correct inlet connector and filter. The pressure-resistant supply hose must be at least 13 mm diameter and as short as practical. Provide the required backflow protection. Inlet limits are 10 bar and 40 °C.
  3. Open the tap. Check the actual electrical rating and protected outdoor connection, plug in with the switch off, then select the intended motor mode. Hold the gun securely and operate the trigger toward a safe test area.
  4. Observe the jet and surface before adjusting the lance. Keep at least 30 cm nozzle distance as required by this manual; move farther away if needed for the material. Stop for disturbed finish or unstable flow rather than using high mode as a cure.

If the jet pulses, isolate the machine and check the supply route and filter; inspect the nozzle for blockage only after pressure release. A clean inlet and intact hose are useful checks. Opening the pump or altering a safety valve is not a homeowner adjustment.

Choose a controlled application

Low mode is useful only when the selected nozzle and surface are also appropriate. The dirt blaster must not be used on car bodies or windows, even with the switch on low. The Vario-Power adjustment is made by rotation; do not pull the nozzle toward the gun while turning it. Leave at least 2 seconds between trigger operations instead of rapidly tapping it.

Use the foam attachment’s own tank with neutral detergent, not an arbitrary chemical in the clean-water supply. For tank-fed operation, use the optional Makita suction set and its filter arrangement; the inlet must remain within 1 m of the water surface. As the tank empties, reassess that height rather than measuring only at the start.

Finish before winding up

For this ENEU machine, the after-use section specifies keeping the switch on while closing the tap and disconnecting the inlet hose, then squeezing the trigger to expel remaining water. End as soon as drained; the motor must not run more than 1 minute during this stage. Next switch off and unplug. Only then disconnect the gun, wind the hose evenly and secure its end. Do not apply that powered draining sequence to an unknown model or to maintenance.

For inspection and cleaning, power must already be off and disconnected and retained pressure released. Store indoors above freezing. If the cord, gun or hose is damaged, or leakage persists after checking accessible connections, stop and use authorized service. Plan breaks too: the manual prohibits use longer than 1 hour without an equally long interruption. Choose this machine for a useful reel and separate low mode, not an assumption of unrestricted continuous duty.
