The middle model changes reach and handling
BEPW1700-GB is the 1700 W UK model with wheels, a telescopic handle and a 5 m high-pressure hose. Its supplied adjustable fan/pencil nozzle and 0.5 L soap bottle cover separate rinsing and detergent stages. The matched Type 1 manual reserves the supplied turbo nozzle for BEPW2000; do not silently add it to this package.
The practical reason to choose this model over the compact BEPW1300 is not only pressure. A 5 m route may let you clean several pieces of garden furniture without moving the machine. Lay that route with the machine upright and stable; the transport handle does not make it safe to pull the unit by its hose.
Understand the middle specification
The manual lists 83.5 bar rated pressure and 125 bar maximum pressure. Rated flow is 5.5 L/min; maximum flow 6.8 L/min equals 408 L/h. Keep those pairs separate when comparing with another brand. They do not tell you how long your patio will take, nor establish a minimum inlet-flow value.
Use cold clean water, with inlet pressure no more than 10 bar. The 50 °C technical limit is a ceiling, not a reason to seek heated water. The inlet hose must be reinforced and at least 12.7 mm in diameter; drinking-water connections need the specified backflow protection. Check the actual electrical plate and local connection before use.
Set up for several nearby objects
- Clear the hose route, place furniture where it will not tip, and keep the machine switched off and unplugged. Check the pressure hose and gun before connecting them.
- Flush the separate garden hose for 30 seconds, then connect it through the clean inlet filter. Open the tap.
- Unlock and hold the trigger with the motor off for 30 seconds to purge the assembled system; continue until the stream is free of trapped air. If it will not settle, check the supply before starting.
- Lock the trigger while making the final attachment check. Connect power with the switch off, then switch on, hold the gun securely and test the broad fan on a small suitable area.
For a row of chairs, work one face at a time and check the finish after the first pass. Do not pin a chair with your foot while spraying. If the last chair requires a tight hose, stop, turn off the washer and supply, release pressure and move using the handle. Never solve reach by dragging the running machine.
A soap bottle is not an onboard injector
This kit uses the bottle at the gun. The ordinary wand and soap attachment are alternatives, not a stack. Switch off, unplug, stop water and release pressure before changing them; lock the trigger during fitting. The bottle belongs below the barrel. Use compatible detergent and its labelled dilution.
If the bottle is fitted but the process seems ineffective, first distinguish lack of chemical delivery from unsuitable detergent or insufficient allowed contact time. Do not compensate by narrowing the rinse jet against a fragile finish. Test the product on an inconspicuous area, avoid chemical mixtures and follow the detergent’s instructions rather than inventing a universal dwell time.
When the jet becomes uneven
Stop and isolate the washer, close the water and relieve pressure. Inspect the inlet filter and hose route for blockage, kinks or air leakage. A blocked nozzle can cause pulsation: remove it only after isolation and pressure release, use the cleaning pin and rinse with clean water. Do not enlarge the nozzle hole.
A loose supply fitting and a broken gun seal are different problems. Correct accessible connections, but send a damaged gun seal, cord or persistent pump fault for qualified service. On shutdown, switch off and unplug, stop water, discharge pressure, lock the gun, disconnect and drain. Store indoors at no less than 4 °C (40 °F); operation must also not be below 4 °C (40 °F). This machine fits intermediate household routes; if a required attachment or longer hose changes the complete cost, compare the full BEPW2000 package rather than maximum pressure alone.
