Trigger light versus independent worklight
Trigger activation has about 10 seconds of after-glow. DL6293B-00 and HD6294B-00 add a separate button with about 10 minutes of inactivity timeout; the button is disabled while running.

Separate common capability from real differences
The US DL6293B-00 and DL529301 are brushless PWR CORE 20 drill/drivers with 1/2-inch keyless chucks, 17 numbered clutch positions and drilling mode. Neither has hammer action. DL6293B-10, DL6293B-1C and DL529302 are package identities, not automatically different tools.

| Published dimensions | 154 × 67.3 × 198.5 mm | No dimension difference calculated here |
| Published weight | Tool Weight 1.92 lb, battery condition unspecified there | Explicitly 2.23 lb without battery |
Both high gears match; a 20 rpm low-gear difference does not establish faster work. DL6293B lists up to 450 in-lb, but a directly comparable DL529301 value is not established here. The weight conditions are not aligned, so subtraction cannot establish a confirmed bare-tool advantage.
What the independent light helps with
DL529301 lights with a slight trigger squeeze and turns off about 10 seconds after release. DL6293B also has trigger lighting, but its WORKLIGHT button switches the light separately; button-activated light shuts off after about 10 minutes of inactivity. The button is disabled while the tool runs, which is not a fault.
This helps inspect hinge holes or repeatedly align screws without repeatedly touching the trigger to maintain light. It does not replace independent task lighting or permit reaching near a moving bit. On a well-lit bench, a spare battery, suitable bit or clamp may be more valuable than this feature.
Decide compactness at the actual opening
The 2026 catalogue gives DL6293B as 154 × 67.3 × 198.5 mm. Add bit projection, battery envelope and grip. “One inch shorter than the previous generation” does not establish a measured difference from DL529301 here.
Handle only stable equipment safe to approach. For smoke, leakage or persistent abnormal battery heat, do not approach, touch or remove it to measure; keep away and seek local emergency guidance. With normal equipment:
- Measure from the hole centre to rear, side and overhead obstacles.
- Add required bit projection and a straight entry and withdrawal route.
- Release the trigger, wait for a complete stop, remove the battery and keep it removed. Use battery dimensions for clearance; never power into a gap.
- Obtain equivalent dimensions for the other exact tool before declaring which fits.
Price the package you actually need
DL6293B-10 currently lists DL6293B-00, one BY519702 2Ah, QC536001 Auto PWR JUMP charger, belt clip, bit and battery jacket. DL529302 packages DL529301 with one 2Ah PWR ASSIST battery, PWR JUMP charger, clip and PH2 bit; the accompanying documents identify BY519702 and QC536001.
With reliable compatible equipment already owned, both kits may duplicate it. Compare the bare tool plus real gaps; a new buyer should include any needed spare pack. An unused extra charger is not cash saved.
DL6293B-1C is a USB-C package, not the -10 list. Its page conflicts between 45W and 100W for the charger; ask the seller to confirm the actual model and rated output before assuming the larger number ships.
Clutch numbers are relative, not calibrated torque. For hardware, stop, wait and remove the battery to fit the correct bit and select rotary mode and a low clutch setting. Keep fingers off the trigger, reinstall the compatible pack securely and check direction before a representative-scrap trial. Check seating depth. Larger cutters still need tool/accessory approval; chuck size is not material drilling capacity.
