These are US manufacturer listings and page statuses checked on 23 October 2026, not live retailer inventory. PSBDD02, PBLDD01 and PBLHM101 identify tools; retain the B, K or K2 package suffix when shopping. Do not generalize one suffix rule to every RYOBI product.

PSBDD02B is another bare-tool option without battery or charger. K2 does not list a bag, so do not import one from the K description. The PBL kit lists above do not identify exact battery and charger codes. Ask the seller for the actual labels instead of borrowing codes from a combo kit.
What K versus K2 changes in practice
Two 1.5Ah packs in PSBDD02K2 can rotate; PSBDD02K has one 2Ah pack. K2 is not one 3Ah battery. Adding capacities does not guarantee runtime, which depends on load, temperature and condition.
With reliable compatible ONE+ 18V batteries and charger already available, price the bare tool plus real missing equipment. A new buyer wanting a spare should add its cost to a single-pack offer rather than compare only the promotional headline.
Likewise, PBLDD01K’s two 2Ah packs and PBLHM101K’s one 4Ah pack are different arrangements. Choose the required drilling mode first, then pack rotation and handling. A bigger battery should not override which drill suits the task.
Discontinued is not a recall or an automatic rejection
The label describes that manufacturer product entry, not a safety recall or proof that every dealer sold out. Whether old stock is worthwhile depends on actual condition, price, accessories, local support and return terms.
Before payment, obtain written confirmation of the full SKU; whether it is new old stock, open-box or refurbished; battery count and exact models; charger identity and input; and applicable warranty evidence and returns. For the hammer model, confirm the auxiliary handle. A cheap unit missing a required handle is not ready for normal use.
An unused battery’s storage history and age can still matter. A sealed box does not establish battery health. Do not repeatedly deep-discharge, short or open a pack to test it. Keep purchase and package records for the seller or manufacturer service.
Inspect delivery in this order
First look for smoke, leakage or persistent abnormal heat. Do not approach, touch or remove such a battery to read its label; keep away and seek local emergency guidance. Only stable, safely approachable equipment should receive these external checks:
- Match the full ordered SKU, then the tool’s own model. Different kit and tool numbers do not by themselves mean a wrong delivery.
- Count packs and record each model and Ah; distinguish one 4Ah from two 2Ah.
- Check the charger. The US PCG002 page specifies 120V, 60Hz. A plug adapter does not convert voltage or make incompatible mains suitable.
- Check the bag, handle and other written accessories. A manual does not replace missing hardware.
- Document missing items, damage or uncertain identity with the order and photos. Ask the seller to resolve them rather than powering up to overlook the discrepancy.
A useful bargain supplies equipment that fits the work, is complete and has reasonable support. Compare the delivery conditions and real contents before the discount.
