Three different power packages

Symbols compare no battery, one battery, and two batteries, with matching charger inclusion.

  1. 1 · Z / ZB

XFD15ZB, XFD16Z and XPH16Z: no battery or charger.

  2. 2 · XFD15SY1B

One 1.5 Ah battery and LXT charger; confirm exact codes.

  3. 3 · XFD16T / XPH16T

    Two BL1850B 5.0 Ah and one DC18RC.

Crossed outlines mean excluded. Read the written package code; these are not product photographs.

Six packages: start with the power equipment

These are selected US XFD15, XFD16 and XPH16 sales identities, not rules for other regions or product families. A battery fitted in a picture does not establish that it comes in the box.

Swipe or scroll horizontally to see all columns.

Sales code Tool Batteries and charger Storage
XFD15ZB XFD15 Battery and charger excluded Check order list
XFD16Z XFD16 Battery and charger excluded Check order list
XPH16Z XPH16 Battery and charger excluded Check order list
XFD15SY1B XFD15 One 1.5 Ah battery, LXT charger; obtain exact codes Bag
XFD16T XFD16 Two BL1850B 5.0 Ah, one DC18RC Bag
XPH16T XPH16 Two BL1850B 5.0 Ah, one DC18RC Bag

The B in XFD15ZB does not promise an included battery. Nor should XFD15SY1B battery and charger codes be copied from a similar-looking SY kit. Clarifying physical contents fills a purchasing gap; it does not make all equipment with the same brand interchangeable.

Use the sales code for the box and the label for operation

To ask what is missing from a box, use XFD16T in full. To find the drill’s gear or mode instructions, start with its XFD16 label. Keep both records: a manual using the base model does not cancel accessories promised on the order.

A useful record is: “Order XFD16T; tool XFD16; two BL1850B; one DC18RC; one bag.” Store the individual serial privately for official support. A sales suffix is not a parts revision, and similar overseas model names are not automatically equivalent.

Existing batteries: price what is missing

If you already have approved LXT batteries and a matching charger for the intended tool, compare the bare offer and decide whether another pack is genuinely useful. Unchecked compatibility is not free usable equipment. Damaged, swollen or abnormal-contact batteries should not count as usable stock either.

Compare bare tool plus missing battery, charger and task accessories against kit plus any remaining accessories. Do not deduct an unwanted bag at an advertised gift value or buy more packs merely because two are included. Use current totals with delivery and taxes rather than assuming kits are always cheaper.

First purchase: count capacity as well as quantity

XFD15SY1B’s one 1.5 Ah pack and the T kits’ two 5.0 Ah packs are different setups. Capacity and quantity affect cost, bulk and rotation planning, but Ah ratios do not promise a specific hole count. Two packs are not one larger battery installed on the drill.

Choose the tool first: XFD15 and XFD16 are drill/drivers; XPH16 adds hammer drilling. Then decide about a spare, confined-space work and the charger’s local input requirements. A box with more equipment cannot fix an unsuitable mode or a tool that does not fit the working position.

Recheck deliveries and mixed used bundles

  1. Keep the full sales code and written promised contents, then match the tool model when unpacking.
  2. Read each battery and charger label separately. Record codes, quantity and input specification, not just colour.
  3. Before powering or installing a pack, inspect for obvious cracks, deformation, leakage and contact damage. Resolve defects with the seller or official support.
  4. If contents differ, ask whether they are original, a retailer bundle or substitutions, and confirm compatibility. Do not force a pack, modify a connector or use an unknown adapter just to test it.
  5. After contents, identities, compatibility and condition agree, follow each device’s instructions for charging and assembly.

A used listing saying “original complete set” does not replace this check. Ask: “Please show the tool, battery and charger labels and list every model and quantity. Does it match XPH16T contents, and what has been substituted? ” Written differences protect the actual purchase more than debating a suffix.
