Zero, one or two batteries

Three package symbols distinguish no power equipment, one battery with charger, and two batteries with charger.

  1. 1 · DCD794B

    No battery or charger.

  2. 2 · DCD794D1

    One DCB203 2 Ah; DCB107 charger.

  3. 3 · DCD800D2 / DCD805D2

    Two DCB203 2 Ah; DCB112 charger.

Battery count does not add a drilling mode. Crossed outlines mean excluded; symbols do not show the full kit.

What these four offers include

These are US sales codes, using manufacturer contents available on 23 October 2026. Retailer bundles, regional suffixes and old stock require their own written order list.

Sales code Tool Battery Charger Other listed items
DCD794B DCD794 Excluded Excluded Belt hook
DCD794D1 DCD794 One DCB203,2.0 Ah DCB107 Belt hook
DCD800D2 DCD800 Two DCB203,2 Ah each DCB112 Bag, belt hook
DCD805D2 DCD805 Two DCB203,2 Ah each DCB112 Bag, belt hook

This manufacturer list does not name a bag for DCD794D1. A retailer’s picture does not make a bag standard in every box. Put extras and gifts on the order. These two D2 kits happen to contain two DCB203 packs; that is not a universal rule for all DEWALT models and markets.

Separate tool functions from battery count

DCD794 and DCD800 drill and drive; DCD805 adds hammer drilling. Changing 794B to 794D1 changes the power package, not the drill’s modes. Two batteries provide a spare or rotation option, not a different drilling capacity.

Specify material, hole size, bit or fastener before selecting tools. Compare packages only once the bodies suit the task. Do not buy an unsuitable head size for an extra battery, or an unsuitable mode for a low price.

When a bare tool makes sense

  1. Record existing battery and charger codes and confirm their compatibility with the intended tool, not just the 20V label.
  2. Inspect batteries externally. Swelling, cracks, leaks, heat damage or abnormal contacts mean they should not count as usable equipment. Do not open a battery for repair.
  3. Decide whether a spare is needed. Add its cost to the bare-tool option if using one battery while another charges matters.
  4. Compare current quotes for bare tool plus genuine gaps against the kit. Do not buy existing suitable equipment twice or value unwanted gifts at an advertised list price.

An owner of an approved DCB203 and matching charger who needs a suitable furniture drill can meaningfully compare 794B. Without batteries or charger, its price is not a ready-to-work total; compare it with a complete D1 or another suitable kit.

One battery or two for a first purchase?

One pack may suit intermittent work that can pause for charging. Two provide rotation flexibility, not a promise of continuous work. Load, temperature, condition and charger affect the balance. Two 2 Ah packs are not one 4 Ah pack fitted to the tool; only one is used at a time.

Record tool, each battery model/count, charger, storage, job accessories, and taxes/delivery. The 800D2 and 805D2 power lists are the same, so return to whether suitable hammer drilling is needed and how the tool fits. Equal battery count is not a unique advantage for either.

Check identities before connecting power

Match the box code, tool model/Type, battery count and codes, and charger/input label. A plug adapter does not automatically make a US charger suitable for another supply. Stop and contact the seller about missing items, mismatches or battery damage rather than forcing a fit.

Ask: “Please confirm DCD800D2 with two DCB203, one DCB112, bag and hook. List any substitutions and the charger input rating.” After matching the contents, follow the applicable charging and setup instructions. This is more useful than asking whether it is a “complete set.”
