Three tool identities in parts-sheet headers

Read model, Body Number, Version A and issue date together. These are document fields, not your tool’s complete serial number or manufacturing date.

  3. 3 · HD6294B-00

Read model, Body Number, Version A and issue date together. These are document fields, not your tool’s complete serial number or manufacturing date.

Decide what question you are asking

“What battery should be in the box? ” needs the full kit number. “How do I set this drill? ” needs the tool and operating manual. “Does this parts sheet apply? ” also needs body number, version and date. These numbers are related, not interchangeable.

DL529302 packages a DL529301. DL6293B-10 and DL6293B-1C use DL6293B-00 but have different battery/charger configurations. Do not generalize -00, -10 and -1C into a universal SKIL code.

Inspect only stable equipment safe to approach. For smoking, leaking or persistently abnormally hot batteries, do not approach, touch or remove them for identification; keep away and seek local emergency guidance. Normally release the trigger, wait for a full stop and disconnect the pack before photographing the complete external label. Do not open the housing to find a number.

Match the three document groups

These are headers of specific public documents. Issue dates are not purchase dates or every unit’s manufacturing date.

Numbers in download filename Tool on cover/drawing Body Number Version Issue Date
DL529302 / DL529303 / DL529301 Parts List DL529301 0710012001 A 2019/06/01
DL6293B-10 / DL6293B-00 / DL6293B-1C Parts List DL6293B-00 0710039001 A 2022/01/28
HD 6294B-10 Parts List HD 6294B-00 0730069001 A 2022/01/28

HD’s filename -10 and drawing -00 need not be an error: package and tool differ. Confirm that the actual label and revision fall within the document’s coverage.

Body Number is not your serial. Keep document fields separate from physical-label fields; do not copy the table into “my serial number.” Preserve extra letters, region and date information from the actual label.

What these drawings really contain

The DL6293B-00 and HD 6294B-00 sheets each list only chuck and hook assemblies, 3860206001 and 2825653001. DL529301 lists chuck 3860163001 and hook 2826568001.

These help service identify parts, but do not prove complete internal interchangeability or stock availability. Two shared assembly numbers do not establish identical gears, motors or electronics. A chuck drawing does not by itself authorize owner removal: external checks and manual-permitted maintenance differ from service disassembly and safety checks.

Recheck after finding a file

  1. Search the official SKIL Manuals & Parts section for the physical tool, such as DL6293B-00, not just the carton.
  2. Read the operating-manual cover: drill/driver or hammer drill. HD instructions do not add hammer mode to DL.
  3. Record Model Number, Body Number, Version and Issue Date from the parts document’s first page, not only its download name.
  4. Check which components the list actually covers: a partial drawing is not a full internal guide.
  5. Send the external label, filename and header fields to manufacturer service to confirm applicability before discussing work.

DL529302’s ZIP also contains separate tool, BY519702 battery and QC536001 charger PDFs. For a charging issue, open the charger instructions; a shared archive does not make the tool chapter a charging manual.

Prepare a usable service record

For example: “Physical tool DL6293B-00, purchased package DL6293B-10; complete serial is in the private external-label photo. Referenced parts header: Body 0710039001, Version A, 2022/01/28. Please confirm applicability and whether this fault needs service.”

Add battery/charger identities, material, bit, gear and any drop or water exposure. If a label is unclear, ask service to identify it from external photos and purchase evidence. Do not recreate binding, abnormal heat or smoke for a demonstration. That is more useful than sending a vaguely similar component picture.
