Core 125 nozzle and storage choices

For UK 128471283: identify the adjustable Gentle PR nozzle, the Rough hard-surface limit and the 5 m hose-pocket layout.

  1. Gentle PR

Adjustment is at nozzle 128500303; test the surface.

  2. Rough

128501153 is for appropriate hard surfaces only.

  3. Hose pocket

Lay out and loosely store the 5 m hose without using it to pull the machine.

Core 125 adjusts at the Gentle PR nozzle; a hose pocket and an internal reel are not the same arrangement.

Identify the compact machine, not a family feature list

Core 125-5 UK product 128471283 is the model covered here. Its defining arrangement is a 5 m Ultraflex high-pressure hose stored in a hose pocket, with pressure adjustment at the Gentle PR nozzle. Do not assume it has the internal reel or the machine-mounted multi-level PowerControl dial found on other Core versions. A comparison table covering the entire range is not an equipment list for this SKU.

The official package identifies Gentle PR nozzle 128500303, Rough nozzle 128501153, G2 lance 128500073 and foam sprayer 128500077. The bottle capacity is 450 ml. These identifiers are useful when checking what is missing from a used machine or whether a seller substituted an attachment. They are not a promise that every nozzle with a blue or black collar is interchangeable.

The advertised maximum is 125 bar. It is not a target to apply to a bicycle, painted gate or delicate joint. The benefit of this compact arrangement is straightforward storage and a short working radius; the trade-off is that the 5 m pressure hose may require planned machine positions around an obstruction. Do not pull on the hose to gain reach.

Attachment Control or action Decision boundary
Gentle PR 128500303 Adjustable pressure at the nozzle Start conservatively and test the actual surface
Rough 128501153 Concentrated rotating action The quick-start guide limits it to hard surfaces
Foam sprayer 128500077 Separate 450 ml bottle attachment Cleaner compatibility still matters

The Core 125 quick-start guide shows the Gentle nozzle’s adjustment from minimum toward maximum. It does not provide a universal numerical pressure for each pictogram. Do not invent a bar setting from the position of the ring. Likewise, the Rough label does not mean it is suitable for every dirty object. Paint, weak pointing and vehicle components are different problems from dirt on a sound hard surface.

For a garden chair with intact finish, start with the Gentle nozzle, a distant test area and continuous movement. Check whether the finish changes before treating the visible faces. If washing would force water into joints or openings, use a lower-energy method instead. If a surface sheds coating or fibres, stop; more detergent or pressure cannot restore the material already removed.

A repeatable first-start routine

  1. Read the separate safety instructions and the Core 125 quick-start guide together. Check the actual rating plate and local water-connection requirements. Nilfisk divides safety, illustrated operation and technical data into separate documents; a missing section is not permission to skip it.
  2. Inspect the electrical lead, pressure hose, gun and couplings. Keep electrical connections dry and away from runoff. Damaged safety parts require replacement or service, not a temporary wrap.
  3. Put the machine upright on stable ground. Lay out the 5 m hose without sharp bends and without a route that trips the operator. The pocket stores the hose; it is not a dispensing reel.
  4. Use the approved clean-water arrangement, including the backflow protection required locally. The illustrated tap connection shows a maximum inlet temperature of 40 °C and inlet pressure of 1 MPa/10 bar. Those are inlet limits, not spraying settings.
  5. With the machine off, open the water and squeeze the unlocked trigger to establish flowing water and clear air. Release the trigger before turning the machine switch on. Direct the gun safely and hold it with both hands when starting to spray.
  6. Choose and fully seat the intended Click&Clean attachment according to the illustrated procedure. Before changing attachments, switch off, unplug, stop the water and release pressure toward a safe area. Never press a release while the jet is operating.

Do not let detergent marketing override the safety instructions

The bottle is useful for applying an approved cleaning agent separately from ordinary rinsing. Its presence does not make solvents, flammable liquids or mixed household chemicals acceptable. Follow Nilfisk’s safety instructions on recommended cleaning agents and the cleaner’s dilution, surface and disposal directions. Do not interpret a broad product-page detergent slogan as a chemical-compatibility approval.

Test the complete process on a hidden area: application, permitted dwell time and rinse. Do not let the cleaner dry unless its instructions expressly require that method. Keep wash water out of places where the cleaner or loosened contamination cannot legally drain. If the material or contamination is unknown, identify it before pressure washing.

Pack away without hiding a fault

Autostop stops the motor when the trigger is released; it does not isolate power. Switch off and unplug after use, close the water and release remaining pressure before disconnecting. Drain and store as the guide specifies, protected from frost, and arrange the hose in broad curves in its pocket rather than folding a kink into it.

A pulsing jet, leaking connector or repeated restart without normal spraying deserves inspection after isolation. Check only the accessible filter, nozzle and connections described for owner care. Do not adjust the pump or defeat a thermal protector. A split hose, damaged latch, persistent leak or electrical fault ends the home troubleshooting sequence and requires approved service.
